Bangladesh is a parliamentary democracy. The head of the government is Prime Minister and the head of the state is President.
Jatiya Sanqsad (The National Assembly) consists of 330 members. 300 members are elected for a five-year term in single-seat constituencies and 30 women are elected by the parliamentarians.
